Support for coaches

Volleyball England organise and administer schemes to support coaches under the Club England Coach Scholarships and Regional Junior Talent Coaches.  Contcat the Coach Co-ordinator for current details.

East Volleyball needs coaches

To introduce and develop volleyball it is important that the Region has sufficient competent coaches. Whilst many will be happy to operate at one particular level such as introducing the game to adults or juniors, others may want to move on to higher competitive levels. The region needs coaches at all levels.

Additional support for Regional Junior Coaches is available and will be separately advised to those concerned.

Financial support for East coaches

To assist and support coaches Eastern Volleyball Federation has adopted the following policy.

  • EVF agrees in principle to support coaches based in one of the six counties comprising the region (eligible by residence or activity) attending a level 2 course by reimbursing reasonable travel expenses incurred up to a maximum of £20 per person. On the same basis for a level 3 course the maximum amount is £30 per person.

This policy is designed to minimise the impact of where people live in relation to where the course is held

All such claims must be submitted within 1 month of attendance and indicate any additional subsidy that is obtained from all other sources.  The application form can be found by clicking on the icon to the left.  Whilst we are keen to support coaches, EVF reserves the right to reduce or withhold support where other sources of subsidy cover the same elements

We would expect counties to support their own personnel attending more basic courses such as CSLA and level 1. Where counties are prevented from doing this due to financial or other relevant constraints, EVF will consider requests to assist either by funding a countywide scheme or assisting individuals directly.

EVF will also consider further support where a special case is made beforehand and financial resource permit.

All applications should be addressed to Paul Bohannan, EVF Treasurer, 12 Longstomps Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 6DL tel 01245 267795 paul@thebohannans.freeseve.co.uk giving relevant details.
