Treasurer Term of Office - 1 year
Duties & Responsibilities
- To manage and keep detailed records of the financial
affairs of the EVF.
- To produce a statement of accounts for executive
committee meetings and a detailed set of independently reviewed accounts for the AGM
- To be aware of opportunities for sources of grant aid to
support initiatives within individual area associations and EVF.
- To liaise with and provide guidelines and advice on
financial matters to fellow EVF and Area Association Treasurers.
- To ensure that planning and budgeting are carried out in
accordance with the wishes of the membership.
- To maintain an asset and equipment register for EVF
- To agree to abide by the EVA Duty of Care Policy relating
to Child Protection issues.
Hours, frequency and dates required
- Attendance at the AGM and any other general meetings.
- Attendance at EVF Executive Committee meetings.
- Approximately 1 hour per month to prepare and check
financial statements and complete essential administration tasks.
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Qualities
Required
- Experience of working in an administrative capacity
within an Area Volleyball Association or Volleyball club at local, regional and/or
national level.
- A sound level of numeracy.
- Basic IT skills necessary for effective and efficient
communication with others.
- Ability to set and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- A sense of humour.
- Experience of book keeping and handling figures.
- Good man-management skills to be able to get the best out
of others.
- Ability to listen and act in an unbiased and impartial
manner
- Ability to accept positive comment and constructive
criticism.
