Essex clubs have been circulated with new ideas to set up a 3rd
Division with matches played at Brenwtood on Wednesdays and also asking about the
appetite for future women's events.
Womens tournament to be held in Chelmsford between
6.00-10.00 on Saturday 27th February - all welcome.
Competing in their second Grand Prix, Essex Pirates Sitting
Volleyball team won 8 out of their 9 matches - but came 6th of the 10 teams due
to the scoiring system whcih favours those with disabled athletes
Level 1 Coaching course being arranged at Tendring
Technical College (Post code CO13 0AZ) on Sat 13th, Sun 14th and Sat 27th March. All
three days must be attended. Cost to be decided. Possible financial support

We are trying an expeiment by taking phone photos of scoresheets as a
way of passing on results and creating a permanent record. Try Scoresheets for the first one.
Essex Pirates come a creditable 6th in their first
Sitting Volleyball Grand Prix event.
The Handicap Cup is underway with a revised result form
the Southend Romford encounter.
Team contact lists have been update for the Conference part of
the season. This year sees a reduced two 4 team format. Matches are
being arranged direct between the teams

Rees Warren has been appointed Volleyball
Development Officer covering Brentwood and Chelmsford. Paid for by a
partnership between the two lcoal Schools Sports Partnerships, Volleyball England and
Chelsea FC as part of the Premier4Sport initiative, Rees starts work in a few weeks.
Essex has been chosen to be one of a number of regional centres to
develop Sitting Volleyball, the Paralympic sport. Essex Pirates as the
venture will be known will be under the initial guidance of Ken Edwards.
Player registration forms for
Essex Competitions are now available. Secretaries are reminded that players must be
registered before they can play.
