Introduction

Chelmsford Volleyball Club was formed in September 2005 from players of the former National League club Chelmsford Partners. It is affiliated to Volleyball England, and therefore covered by its insurance scheme.  The vclub enters teams in Essex League and Cup competitions. In December 2012 it was awarded Volley 1 club re accreditation, the sport's equivalent of Clubmark.  When first obtained in February 2007, it was the first in Essex, second in East region and only 16th nationally to achieve this.  We play both standing and Sitting Volleyball where we host Essex Pirates training.

This is an open club for anyone interested in starting, improving, learning and playing volleyball.  We cater for almost all levels of play with members from teenagers to pensioners.

Our home court is Anglia Ruskin University Sports Hall - details of its location click left. Please note only shoes which do not mark the excellent sprung wood floor are allowed. Shoes may be checked on entry.

All home sessions are on Thursdays and will run between September and April.
7.00-7.45 - coached training aimed at beginners and improvers (standing and sitting)
7.45-8.30 - sociual volleyball games (standing and sitting)
8.30          - if there is a match (see calendar)this will be warm up time.  If not
8.30-9.00 - social volleyball games will continue
9.00-10.30 - advanced training with usually some match play at thre end.

May and June is a more relaxed schedule of playing. Which sessions to attend is your choice unless advised by the coach. All balls, nets and equipment other than personal kit will be provided.

A full calendar of training, matches and social events is shown under calendar and more details of matches is shown under Competitions
